How we handle your data — clearly and honestly.
Last updated: February 2026
Our Commitment
Trust starts with transparency. We collect only what we need, we tell you exactly how we use it, and we never sell your data. This policy covers what happens when you visit our website or work with us.
What We Collect
We collect information that's necessary to serve you well:
- Contact information — Name, email, phone number, and company when you reach out to us
- Technical data — Browser type and anonymized usage analytics via self-hosted, cookieless analytics (see Web Analytics section below)
- Project details — Information from our conversations about your business needs and goals
- Communication records — Email exchanges and meeting notes related to your project
How We Use It
Your information serves clear, legitimate purposes:
- Delivering the software development services you've engaged us for
- Keeping you informed about your project's progress
- Sending service updates — only with your explicit permission
- Improving our website based on usage patterns
- Meeting legal obligations
Who We Share It With
We don't sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only when necessary: with trusted service partners under strict confidentiality agreements, when legally required, or in the event of a business transfer (we'd notify you first).
How Long We Keep It
We retain your data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Project-related data is kept for the duration of our engagement plus any legally mandated retention period. You can request deletion at any time.
Web Analytics
We use Umami, an open-source, privacy-focused analytics tool that we host on our own servers in Germany. No cookies are set and no data is stored in your browser.
- Data processed — Page URL, referrer, browser type, operating system, device type, country (derived from IP address), and timestamp
- IP handling — Your IP address is immediately hashed with a rotating salt and never stored in plain text
- No tracking — No persistent identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no user profiles
- Self-hosted — All data stays on our servers in Germany with no third-party access
- Retention — Individual records are deleted after 12 months; aggregated statistics are retained indefinitely
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in analyzing and improving our website. You can opt out at any time using the toggle in our website footer.
Your Rights
Your data belongs to you. You can:
- Request access to your personal information
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Request your data in a portable format
- Object to processing — Object to analytics tracking via the opt-out toggle in our footer or by contacting us
